Interview with Zhang Jike

The extrovert Chinese player and current World Champion Zhang Jike gave an interview to the German Table Tennis Federation. The Chinese player talked about the World Team Championship, the Olympics, his dreams and his routine during a tournament.
At the beginning of the interview with the web page of the German Table Tennis Federation, Zhang Jike said that China will win the world team title again, and probably the final will be against Germany, South Korea and Japan. The Chinese player was also asked about the pressure of the German team for the high expectations. Zhang doesn't think that high expectations cause big pressure. On the contrary, he said that if he played a World Championship at home, he would be very motivated and would have more confidence.
About the Olympic Games, the World Champion confessed that if he is chosen to compete in the singles event, he believes that he can clinch the gold medal. That would be his biggest dream. However, Zhang pointed out that there are still four months to London, so everything can happen. The World Team Championship will be crucial for the nomination because who is in the best form will have more chances to be nominated.
About his behavior at the table, the Chinese star explained that maybe he's more individualist and thinks in a different way than most of his compatriots. In fact, he confessed that he must hold back his emotions in China sometimes but he can be more expressive in other countries. His impulsive behaviour is a way to let pressure go, added the Chinese player.
As Zhang was asked about his most important title in 2011, he didn't hesitate to answer the World Championship in Rotterdam and his most important victory was against Timo Boll because that gave him confidence for the final match.
About his routine in tournaments, Zhang said that he likes watching some videos, films or listening to Michael Jackson sometimes. He just tries to be desconected and concentrated. He also commented about what he does on Sundays. He likes sleeping, then to get relaxed watching some film. The last film that he watched was "The Fast and the Furious 5".
As the Chinese player was asked about his future life at 50 years old, he answered that maybe he will be looking after his children but actually, he doesn't think much about it.
