Kim Kyung Ah / Park Mi Young are the Women Doubles Champion in Spain

2012 Spanish Open Women Doubles ended its competition with the South Koreans Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young as the winners. The sixth seeds from Germany Kristin Silbereisen and Wu Jiaduo ushered the match with the first advantage. As the match progressed, the German pair was still doing good. However, at the end of six sets, Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young were hailed as the Women Doubles champions.  

The second seeds from South Korea Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young had established themselves as a strong force in the competition with successive sweep victories since the Round 16. Meanwhile, the German pair of Kristin Silbereisen and Wu Jiaduo managed to surpass every hurdle victoriously. Today, between these two strong pairs,  

Two pairs ushered the final match with intensity as they leveled in 10-10 in the first set. After the tie, it was the German pair who had the opportunities and sealed it with a 12-10. After a close encounter, South Korean pair ensured a good lead in the second set. Indeed, Silbereisen and Wu were not able to catch up as Kim and Park leveled in 1-1 with 11-5. 

Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young carried their momentum into the third set with a 4-1 lead. Just like the previous set, Silbereisen and Wu had a hard time to catch up. South Korea reached set point in 10-5 then sealed it with 11-7.   

Silbereisen and Wu earned the first three points in the first three points. This time, the second seeds were not able to catch up as the German was in complete control in a commanding lead of 10-1. Kim and Park tried to crawl their way through as they earned six straight points before Germany leveled in 2-2 with 11-7. 

After four sets, both pairs have already warmed up and played the fifth game with full intensity. After their tie in 7-7, Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young earned three straight points to set point then sealed it with 11-7.

Just as the South Koreans were one set away to victory, the German fought really hard, not allowing their opponent to establish a good lead. However, they somehow failed as Kim and Park established a two point lead in 9-7. This led the German camp to call for a timeout. After the game resumed, Silbereisen and Wu found themselves in danger as their opponent reached match point. Eventually, Kim Kyung Ah and Park Mi Young won the championship title with 11-8.
